Creating certificate for the course is an essential step because a student who completed the course must have proof of completion as well as his performance rated by the course teacher /admin. Further when a company or organization buys course for a group , the employee who joins must get a certificate from the course site certifying the completion as well as grade  obtained by the candidate. Creating the certificate is a bit tricky in LearnDash as you need to have logo or design creation for the certificate.
